1 Two Canyons of Pivnice Brook

The beautiful canyon starts in the village of Dolany, where you can park. In the first section of about 400m it is better to follow the yellow hiking trail, but after that you can head upstream of the brook, which has a beautiful sandy bottom. Depending on the weather and the season, the stream changes from no water to a strong current. In the second case, the gorge can be impassable and dangerous, and it is better to leave its exploration for another time.

The stream gradually cuts into the sandstone rocks and creates a unique canyon that divides into 2 branches. Explore the right branch first, then return to the fork and head upstream to the left. The canyons narrow in the upper part so that the only way is through the water. It makes the experience of this extraordinary gorge all the more beautiful.

After exploring the other branch of the gorge as well, just turn left on the beaten path and then follow the edge of the forest and the forest path with yellow hiking trail back down to the starting point.

The gorge is not suitable for a trip with children under 6 years old. The route requires good footwear and a willingness to walk through water and over wet logs and rocks. Climbing is not difficult.
